Juan Alberto Recio is large distributor of pharmacy- products. The company provides a wide range of products to aproximately 160 destinations (own stores and supermarkets) in the north-western part of Spain.

A combination of the original manual order picking from shelves (slow and medium movers) was combined with an batch-pick/ ODS system for fast movers. The warehouse was divided into 3 main areas, bulk storage, storage for full-case picking and 2 picking areas.

Orders are prepared in the ODS and shelving area. Full cartons and totes are sent to the expedition area where orders are consolidated. Sorting in expedition is done by two DISTRISORTER™ sorting systems.
