Batch Picking combines multiple orders into one picking instruction

The Batch Pick concept is characterised by combining product demand from multiple orders into one pick instruction. This implies that, after picking, the goods have to be sorted by order. The sortation by order can be done in several ways:

  • Sort while pick: the operator has several orders on a trolley and can sort the goods immediately after picking
  • Sort after picking: the operator picks the goods and after picking the goods can either be sorted manually (minibatch) or automatically
