Vanderlande Industries headquarters receives TNT Express employees
A group of 50 TNT Express employees visited the Vanderlande headquarters in the Netherlands on April 16. As well as presentations and an interactive workshop, the group visited the Vanderlande Innovation Centre to see the company’s automated material handling solutions in action.

Vanderlande Industries to supply a new sorting line for 'non conveyables' to Itella, Finland
Vanderlande Industries (material handling systems) has been chosen by Itella Corp. of Finland to supply a newly developed sorting line for parcels and other irregular items of widely varying shapes and sizes. The new sorting line will enable efficient, automated sorting of many items that up to now have been considered as ‘non-conveyable’ by conventional transport and sorting systems. The order was signed in March, and the new line is planned to be in operation by the 2013 Christmas peak season.

Vanderlande Industries wins Dutch Sourcing Award 2013 Audience Award
Vanderlande Industries has won the Audience Award in the Dutch Sourcing Awards 2013. This was the first time it was possible to vote on one of the winning purchasing performances prior to the presentation of the awards. The Dutch Sourcing Award is presented annually to a Dutch purchasing team that has turned in a top performance.

CEO Michiel Peters to leave Vanderlande Industries
Vanderlande Industries has announced that Michiel Peters will leave the company as of April 1st. Michiel Peters joined Vanderlande Industries in 2004, starting as Managing Director Operations, and has been in the position of CEO since 2009.

Vanderlande Industries creates a stir at IMHX
Vanderlande Industries took part in IMHX 2013 from March 19th until March 22nd, showing its equipment on a big television screen and also on iPads, explaining to (potential) customers what Warehouse Automation can mean for all types of business. The Mircoshuttle created a stir with visitors and quite a few inquiries were made.
