Vanderlande Industries ofrece el primer EXPREXORTER™ para proveedores de paquetería exprés

Veghel (Netherlands) – Vanderlande Industries (automated material handling systems) has successfully installed and commissioned the first of its new EXPREXORTER™ sorter systems at logistics operator Integra2 in Madrid. The system has been reliably handling the full production load at Integra2 since mid-July. This single-loop sorter – with a length of 800 metres and a capacity of 14,000 parcels per hour – has three separate climate-controlled zones, and is the longest-ever sorter supplied by Vanderlande Industries.

The new EXPREXORTER™ is a versatile, high-capacity sorter designed specifically for use by express parcel service providers. Its ‘Armadillo’ closed-deck design and modular tray construction ensure the ability to securely convey the widest possible range of items such as cartons, bags, boxes, documents, totes and loose outsize items. Extra-large items can be handled by the ability to combine the system’s electrically actuated tilt trays in dynamically controlled groups of up to 4 trays, automatically matching the number of trays used to the length of products to be sorted. The ability to coordinate multiple trays per parcel also increases flexibility by allowing simultaneous use of different sort strategies. The discharge chutes can be positioned at any desired location, both inside and outside the sorter loop, for the most efficient possible use of the available floor area.

The EXPREXORTER™ has a robust design, with electrical tilting discharge of trays into the right chutes to ensure high-accuracy sorting. The specified number of missorts is less than 1 in 10,000, and availability is over 98.5%. Possible capacity levels of EXPREXORTER™ systems are up to 20,000 parcels per hour, making it suitable for use in some of the largest express parcel sorting hubs.

Another important benefit of the EXPREXORTER™ is its contribution to a good working environment, for example with an exceptionally low noise level of 61 dBA. This is achieved by the linear drive motors, together with large polyurethane carrier wheels and extensive use of extruded and diecast aluminium components.

Integra2 (motto: ‘Quality is the only possible working philosophy’) handles industrial and commercial package transportation in Spain, Portugal and Andorra. The company specialises in the distribution of pharmaceuticals and temperature-controlled products, and is part of the Logista Group, the leading integral logistics operator in Spain and Portugal and one of the most important in Europe.
