In December of 2002 Vanderlande Industries US Inc., was awarded a contract for a new turnkey baggage handling system at Logan International’s Terminal A. The system went successfully operational in March 2005.
The scope of supply includes both inbound and outbound systems. The inbound consists of four tilted TRIPLANAR™ claim units and associated feed lines. The outbound system serves four new ticket counters as well as two new curbside check-ins. The main baggage sortation room includes baggage screening and manual encoding to serve seven CRESPLANAR™ destination make-up units.
Previously, Vanderlande Industries successfully achieved the critical completion date for security screening systems for Logan’s bagrooms B6 for US Airways and C2 for Continental Airlines.
