The Global Logistics Centre (GLC) in Hatten, Germany serves as the worldwide spare parts warehouse for Smart. The GLC has a total of 177,000 storage locations, of which 44,000 for pallets and 128,000 for small parts. Total goods inventory consists of some 100,000 different items. On average, 4,000 order lines are delivered every working day. Planning is based on transport capacities of 1,800 tons or 10,000 m³ a day.

Large sections of the conveyor system have been installed under the ceiling to save space and increase the available floor surface. The GLC is operated by logistic service provider Striebig, which has 300 employees working in Hatten in a multi-shift operation.
