The following processes take place in the distribution centre in Monheim: 

• Picking of product from pallets  
• Transportation of the product to one of the 10 order distribution stations  
• At the order distribution stations the tote is automatically scanned and the operator is informed how much to pick  
• Displays at the order locations indicate how much of the product needs to be distributed to which order carton 
• Each work station has 20 order locations to distribute the goods to  
• Once the order is finished, it is transported to a pack station 
• At the packing station a weight check takes place, the cartons are closed and labelled  
• Cartons/totes that are not picked empty are stored in one of the two miniloads

The system installed has lead to an increase in productivity and quality of delivery.
