17 systems in 10 years and still counting!
The 16th and 17th systems supplied by Vanderlande Industries to express services specialist Bartolini in Italy have just been installed and commissioned successfully and handed over to the customer. The systems, both handling 8 400 parcels per hour, are at Bartolini’s Pisa and Torino sorting centres. Mr. Quartieri, Development Manager of Bartolini Group, congratulated Vanderlande Industries on professionalism and accuracy of the work on site. He was also pleased with the service so far (response within 2 hours of call).
Standardised modular solutions
This year Bartolini and Vanderlande Industries will celebrate a 10-year partnership, starting in 1998 with a first system installed near Milan. Since then Bartolini has purchased a total of 17 systems for its depots all over Italy. All systems are based on the POSISORTER, with capacities from 4 500 to 8 000 parcels per hour depending on the configuration. The Vanderlande team have created a standardised solution for the customer, with throughput capacities of 4 500, 6 000 and 8 000 parcels per hour using standard modules. This saves engineering time and cost, and shortens response time. Bartolini also has a full service contract for all its 17 sites, covering preventive maintenance and call-outs with a 2 hour response time.
