Bergen Airport

Preparing Bergen Airport for the future

Bergen Airport, Norway’s ‘Gateway to the Fjords’, has grown to become the second-busiest airport in Norway. Under the ownership of the Avinor Group – a state-owned organisation that operates 45 airports in the country – Bergen’s expansion has been both consistent and positive. Passenger numbers have increased steadily and as a result, Bergen opened a new terminal in the summer of 2017.

In December 2016, Vanderlande was officially contracted to install and commission eight automated security lanes (ASL’s). The lanes feature parallel straight (single and double) divestment stations at which passengers are able to use multiple trays at the same time.
