Tallinn Airport in Estonia won the award in the category of ‘airports under five million passengers’ in recognition of its challenging large-scale airside expansion. The judging panel was impressed by the airport’s new security checkpoint solution PAX OPTIMA, which allows it to double passenger capacity at peak times.
