September 11, 2018 Vanderlande brings item picking cobot technology to life

Vanderlande has developed a ‘cobot application’ (a robot physically capable of working alongside human operators) together with the leading Finnish trading company in assembly and fastening materials, Würth Oy, and their logistics software partner (Leanware Oy) in a shared pilot project. The cobot is now operational at Würth’s logistics centre in the town of Riihimäki, just north of Helsinki.

April 09, 2018 Udea selects Vanderlande to supply omni-channel ADAPTO solution

Vanderlande has signed a contract with Dutch organic food retailer Udea to deliver a state-of-the-art, goods-to-person ADAPTO solution. The automated storage and retrieval system will be one of the largest of its kind that Vanderlande has supplied to date and be housed in Udea’s new distribution centre (DC) in Veghel, The Netherlands. Construction of the facilities will begin in June 2018 and the system is expected to go live at the end of 2019.

February 28, 2018 Lidl and Vanderlande extend cooperation with state-of-the-art ACP system

Vanderlande has signed a contract with supermarket chain Lidl to construct a highly advanced automated case picking (ACP) system at its distribution site in Køge, Denmark. In line with Lidl’s objectives for 2020 and beyond, the system will allow the company to improve the efficiency of its supply chain network in the country, and help it to supply stores in Sjælland and the greater Copenhagen area.
