To better support Vanderlande’s service activities across northernmost Europe, a Nordic service team has been created. This new all-round team will provide support across all of Vanderlande’s business segments: airports, warehousing and parcel.
The Nordic service team will help to sharpen the company’s focus with its Nordic customers, as well as ensure that it increases its local operational expertise. The team consists of experienced technicians and process engineers.
The move marks a dynamic change from Vanderlande’s previous approach, in which the company’s field service engineers travelled from Veghel (The Netherlands) as required. In total, Vanderlande maintains 31 service contracts across the Nordic region, which includes Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Iceland. These contracts cover all of Vanderlande’s core markets.
The Nordic team has spent most of 2017 in intensive training and undertaking site visits. This means that it will be ready to hit the ground running at the beginning of 2018. At which point, the team will be able to offer a full range of life-cycle services, such as preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance, as well as call-outs and training packages.
This new approach will offer a range of benefits to Vanderlande’s customers. They will not only profit from the proximity of the service team and short response times, but the team will also speak the same language. In addition, by localising its services, Vanderlande is confident of creating more touchpoints with its customers and enhancing the overall dialogue it shares with them.
“By being much closer to the markets we serve, we are confident of creating added value for our customers,” says Vanderlande’s Nordic Service Manager Ingunn Dahl-Engh. “Everyone in the team has clear goals and will be encouraged to act proactively, which should create further opportunities for all stakeholders.
“It’s an exciting time as we expand – and fine-tune ¬– our activities. The extension of our process engineering capabilities will only strengthen the competitive positions of our customers, and the team is enthusiastic about the challenges ahead.”
