Visitors to ProMat will be able witness a fully operational, latest generation goods-to-person (GtP) Vanderlande workstation. It will be integrated with a piece-picking robot from the company’s Smart Item Robotics (SIR) portfolio of technologies.
Vanderlande will also provide digital demonstrations of its next-generation, data-driven software stack. This technology features scalable capabilities that enhance the visibility and control of operations through productivity-boosting adjustments and upgrades to equipment, processes and workflows.
In addition, the in-booth “knowledge hub” will give visitors the opportunity to enjoy interactive sessions about modern consumer values, the supply chain industry and the future of AI, the metaverse and logistics. These keynotes and presentations will take place hourly from 20 to 22 March, and will be hosted by Ken Hughes – a leading authority on the behaviour of consumers, as well as industry innovations and trends.
Guests can also join two seminars hosted by Vanderlande experts. The first session takes place on Monday 20 March, from 3:00pm to 3:45pm, and focuses on implementing one-to-one picking in distribution centres and how it can increase efficiencies in labour, order fulfilment and profitability (more info). On Wednesday 22 March, from 11:15am to 12:00pm, the second seminar will share Vanderlande’s research on how robotics can improve business in a challenging labour market (more info).
