Screening

Express companies are being faced with increasing demands on their screening processes, which can often differ (depending on the country). Screening is generally performed for two reasons:

• security – to check for dangerous goods such as explosives
• customs inspection – to check for illegal goods going into a country or whether the correct taxes have been paid.

Vanderlande has extensive working knowledge of the rules and regulations of different organisations, for example IATA, TSA and the EU. This is utilised when integrating and obtaining total design approval for the entire screening process.
