Vanderlande’s POSISORTER (shoe sorter) provides positive, high-capacity sorting to handle products measuring up to 1,500 x 900mm. Its conveyance capabilities – together with high accuracy – contribute to the outstanding result of only one miss-sort in 10,000 items.

Divert shoes slide across the full-width carriers, pushing the products gently into the output spurs in a diagonal movement. The number of shoes diverted depends on the length of each product. The system is available for either single- or dual-sided sortation.

In addition, each sorter is provided with a remote control. Thanks to the special maintenance button, a shoe that needs to be replaced can quickly be located and positioned at a safe and convenient spot for repair. The patented ‘plug-and-play’ carrier design allows a shoe to be changed in less than 60 seconds.

The POSISORTER provides the following benefits:

  • capacity to sort over 10,000 parcels per hour
  • easy to change components
  • reduced noise levels
  • 20% more energy efficient
  • small footprint.

Vanderlande has over 350 POSISORTER systems worldwide, including those delivered to BRT, UPS and TNT Express.
