Unloading pallets and cages

Home / Parcel / Systems / Unloading / Unloading pallets and cages

There are various devices, such as pallets, cages and roll containers that are used for the transport of packages. Vanderlande offers several solutions that can be applied to unload the content of a cage or pallet, varying from traditional manual operations, through to the application of automated tippers and the use of robots.

Each solution needs to be carefully designed to suit individual functions. It is not only necessary to unload regular parcels, but also to find a solution for irregular items and documents. The efficiency and throughput of the entire operation can only be maximised by integrating:

  • the (un)loading process from the trucks
  • the flow of full and empty pallets or cages inside the building
  • carefully designed buffer areas between docks and unloading workstations
  • an optional tracking system.
