The holiday season is a busy time for our customers – not least one of our largest, based in the North Pole. We’ve been supporting this internationally renowned customer for the past ten months to ensure his vast warehouse (and all his little helpers) is fully prepared for the surge in demand in December.
It’s undoubtedly a challenging project for many reasons: an enormous array of products; the sheer volume of items; the number of drop-offs worldwide; two extensive order lists (one naughty, one nice); and a fixed deadline of 24 December. But Vanderlande’s systems and software are keeping everything on track, and helping Santa and his elves deliver an extra-special Christmas this year.
Despite the challenges, it’s been one of our most rewarding contracts to date. We’re hopeful that the improvements we’ve made in terms of efficiency will ensure a long-term partnership.
