VERTISORTER

The VERTISORTER is typically used as a pre-sort unit to split irregular parcels or documents from a flow of regular parcels. This process is carried out vertically from one conveyor belt to two others, placed one above the other. Two hinged switch-belt conveyors move in opposite directions. The VERTISORTER can also be used in reverse, when merging two lines into one.

It can also be used in a system with multiple line or loop sorters, which can be positioned behind each other to allow for up to eight destinations. And by keeping the pre-sorting on a vertical level, the overall footprint of the system can be greatly reduced.

In addition, the tracking of packages can be maintained during transport and sortation. Therefore, the VERTISORTER eliminates the need for downstream scanning.
