DPD Docklands

Parcel carrier DPD UK (DPD) and Vanderlande have enjoyed a long and fruitful relationship. However, their collaborative efforts were taken to a whole new level when they joined forces to create DPD’s largest delivery depot in London Docklands. The two companies worked together to resolve significant structural issues with the building before Vanderlande’s CROSSORTER 1200 and COMPAXORTER systems could begin processing parcels in November 2023.

DPD York

An automated parcel sorting solution – based on Vanderlande’s POSISORTER technology – is bringing new levels of efficiency to DPD’s depot in York, England. The system went live in November 2022, and replaced a completely manual sorting operation at the parcel delivery company’s old site in the city. This is helping DPD to provide greater sorting capacity and enhanced customer services. It is even a popular with staff thanks to its ergonomic performance.

Toyota WA – Life-cycle services

Toyota WA’s parts distribution centre (DC) in Perth, Western Australia (WA), went live in April 2025, complete with some of Vanderlande’s most advanced logistic process automation. To support the Toyota WA team, Vanderlande provides a service technician to keep things moving and minimise downtime.

Kaufland Germany

When German hypermarket chain Kaufland decided to automate its new distribution centre (DC) in Geisenfeld, Vanderlande’s STOREPICK solution proved to be the perfect choice. Dutch supermarket chain Albert Heijn took the decision to automate its regional distribution centre (DC) at Zaandam, The Netherlands, to boost capacity, increase efficiency and reduce its dependency on labour. Oman Airports

Camper faced a number of challenges to improve its internal logistics processes. It had to cope with the different dimensions of cartons that are retrieved from 60,000 locations within the warehouse. De Bondt offers an extensive range of around 60,000 products from 50 well-known brands and collections. Delivering a high-quality service to its customers is essential. To ensure that E.Leclerc Socamaine was able to meet its challenges head-on, Vanderlande proposed an integrated end-to-end solution – Automated Case Picking (ACP).

Edeka

One of the most modern and efficient meat-processing facilities in Europe was recently built in Rheinstetten, Baden Württemberg, Germany. At the facility, owned by EDEKA Südwest Fleisch GmbH, meat products are produced and delivered to over 1,250 outlets.

ifm’s old warehouse was too small to handle its next phase of development. For its new warehouse, Vanderlande proposed ADAPTO, a highly flexible 3D storage, retrieval and transportation system.

Kaufland Germany

When German hypermarket chain Kaufland decided to automate its new distribution centre (DC) in Geisenfeld, Vanderlande’s STOREPICK solution proved to be the perfect choice. Netto

In a buoyant food retail market, Netto was enjoying a period of sustained growth and a positive outlook, as its main distribution centre neared maximum capacity for the grocery assortment. To meet its needs for the future, the Danish discount food retailer decided to invest in new logistic automation and chose STOREPICK, Vanderlande’s end-to-end automated case picking solution.

Recio

Recio’s continued growth meant the system was approaching its peak capacity by 2012. To faciliate future growth, Recio needed an order processing system that combined state-of-the-art technology with traditional methods.

Rhenus Contract Logistics

In 2009, Vanderlande delivered a material handling system to Rhenus at its site in Tilburg, The Netherlands. However, Rhenus’s main customer had recently experienced strong growth of approximately 30% per year. As a result, it approached Vanderlande to see how the system’s performance could be improved.

When Toyota WA decided to build a new parts distribution centre (DC), it chose Vanderlande as its automation partner. The facility in Perth, Western Australia, went live in April 2025 complete with Vanderlande’s FASTPICK highly automated goods-to-person solution.

Toyota WA’s parts distribution centre (DC) in Perth, Western Australia (WA), went live in April 2025, complete with some of Vanderlande’s most advanced logistic process automation. To support the Toyota WA team, Vanderlande provides a service technician to keep things moving and minimise downtime.

Udea

Udea is a wholesaler of organic foods, natural personal care products and sustainable non-food items. For its new centralised distribution centre (DC) in Veghel, The Netherlands, Udea needed a state-of-the-art automated solution that provided the necessary levels of availability, performance and reliability to match its omni-channel needs.

URBN Outfitters

URBN’s largest fulfilment centre in Gap, Pennsylvania handles a portfolio of global consumer brands. It opened in 2015 and allowed URBN the flexibility to move into the future.

Van Gelder

Family-owned company, Van Gelder, is a major player in the Dutch fresh produce market. To facilitate ambitious plans for growth, and deal with issues such as labour scarcity and demanding lead times, the company took the decision to automate its warehouse with Vanderlande’s ADAPTO automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS).

Vegalsa-Eroski

Vegalsa-Eroski is the leading retailer in the food distribution sector in Galicia, with a commercial network of 263 stores (owned and franchised) and 87 smaller enterprises. Sales are booming but getting enough product out to the stores had become a real challenge.

Würth

Würth chose to install Vanderlande’s highly flexible storage, retrieval and transportation system – ADAPTO. This makes optimal use of the available space in Riihimäki through its high storage density.

Zalando Sweden

Zalando selected Vanderlande’s AIRTRAX Pocket sorter to act as the heart of the new facility. Containing 6,500 pockets, it has been implemented as a pilot project.
